RTFM (Read The F*****g Manual) is something my wife has told me many times. Ironically, this is one of the times I did read it. There's nothing that says eco mode limits you to 70, though. Or that you can't switch modes in mid-ride. /shrug   That's why I asked ya'll, though, I'm not afraid to stop and ask for help.

That said, I took it out again on a custom setting and holy CRAP I own a carnival ride!   

All happy after doing the routine checks, I rode off the lot here in Portland with my new Zero today. I hit the freeway and was looking forward to zipping by traffic...and hit a hard limit of 70 miles per hour. wtf?

Anyone that can shed some light on this one? Full charge, regular eco and sport modes, tucked, untucked, nothing made a difference. 70 MPH tops. I figure there's a delimiter somewhere, but I don't know why it's 70!

I've never needed to lock up my bike before, but I've never had a really good ride, either. I've picked up the brake lock (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A759GW0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but watching those scum got my heart racing. Bad enough when I came back to my bike tipped over once. I love the earlier pointed out alarm mount; being able to attach it to the bike and not carry it around is a big thing.

You can physically fix the whole thing with either :
1. Her taking it out and doing a quick montage of the same activities, or
2. Close  with her looking at him and adding, "Where's mine?"

Instead you made it a boy toy that requires justification. Feh 

I owned a ZEV, a terrible scooter. Nothing but regrets.
Pieces are poor quality, assembly was haphazard, using zip ties and tape, things caught on fire, and the company did everything it could to assign culpability to me. I can give a list of specifics if you want later, I'm on my phone right now.
In terms of ability, the scooter just doesn't measure up to the specs promised.
After spending several thousand on a lawyer and getting to ride for about a month total out of the year I owned it, I sold it for a thousand dollars to a mechanic who will probably part it out for other projects.

Oh, man. I hope you don't have the difficulties some folks are reporting in getting it worked on.
My Zero S is supposed to arrive by Friday.

I'm hoping you've read on some other folks experiences with getting their bike worked on, but if you haven't, the word seems to be "Chase". Pester the dealer and zero directly, and definitely let me know what happens, because I am kind of worried. I got burned on my last bike, this one is supposed to last years!

Trickle charging is usually a long-term plugged-in status of a vehicle where it's on a battery tender to ensure it doesn't die. So it takes place when you have it in storage, and only gets a tiny amount of electricity, just keeping it topped off. Not sure what happened with yours, and I'm no expert, but there does seem to be a lot of them on this forum (no snark, there).
