Buy Sell Trade / Re: WTB. Used windscreen for 2016 S

You can find decent adaptable windscreen on aliexpress for 35 $. I bought one and it works like a charm.
Which one did you get? Would love to see recommendations.

I have a used Zero commuter windscreen in SF just taking up space in my parts bins.

I'm not sure that I have the mounting stalks, but those can be bought separately since they're MRA hardware at a site like Twisted Throttle. See https://www.twistedthrottle.com/brand/mra-motorcycle-windshields where there are a bunch of options.
Sorry I never responded.  I'm still interested if you still have it.  If you do,  what price you looking at?

My tag fee is $104, but it's for two years at a time.

Im just testing the waters to see if anyone has one.  Don't want to spend $200 if I don't have to.

Makes sense.  Probably do it part by part.  Slowly over a couple seasons.  Thanks again.

Awesome! Thanks for the advice.  Will probably give it a shot this winter when I can't ride it.

Man, I definitely want to do something like that to my S. Any tutorials you used? I would be a total noob when it comes to doing something like this. I actually really like the paint job you did on the bike.

Good point, but the big guys can afford to sell at a lower margin, or even at a loss to get market share, right?   8)

I think Polaris has shown, that so far, no one is trying to do that. Probably since market share is very low as it is anyway. Polaris is repurposing a Brammo and making it more expensive... Goes to show (me) that they are charging for the badging. They think you should pay THEM for the Victory name to on your electric bike.

To add for the thread:

I highly doubt Zero would get "gobbled" up, just like Tesla won't. Zero are really the only ones pioneering here, and their experience will give them the edge when it comes to price. They can continuously refine their battery and everything using that experience to cut costs. Any new Electrics, even by the "old timers" are going to be subject to "starting anew" because they can't take their ICE experience and directly correlate it to Electric. Polaris at least has an advantage since they bought that experience in Brammo. But they chose to increase price and not try to dethrone Zero.

Zero are the ones to beat. Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki etc... are NOT going to automatically destroy Zero, by putting out an electric bike, just because they are household names.

Fast charging is important to you:

Level 1 charging a Zero recovers 10 miles per hour
Level 2 charging a Tesla (at 3600 watts) recovers 10 miles per hour
Level 2 charging a Tesla (at 7680 watts) recovers 20 miles per hour

What in your traveling dynamic is your need suited better in a Tesla?

Add in
Direct DC charging a Tesla (at 120,000 watts) recovers 170 miles in 1/2 hour

General Discussion / Re: Why ride when you can fly.

Well, Im sure if that were to actually be purchaseable, you would need a pilot's license of some sort. They won't just let anyone with a driver's license into the air.

It does look pretty awesome though. Would be cool to be able to fly to your destination, instead of sitting in traffic. Of course you wouldn't be allowed to touch down anywhere but actual runways I would imagine.

If you want to spend $1300 on a helmet you wont get until almost mid next year, then you go right ahead and pre-order it. While it does look awesome, personally, I am going to wait for version 2 or 3.

Its almost guaranteed that Harley will have less range for more money. But having that huge dealership network would be nice...
