Valid point! The headlight housing DOES get quite warm relatively quickly just with low beam alone.
Didn't opt for LED since I was unable to find a good projector lense solution. Without a projector lense, the beam would scatter and not have a clear cut-off as it should.

Could wire the high beam switch so it also keeps the low on? Wonder if the switch is checked during PA inspection.

I live in rural Pennsylvania and rely on high beams to see deer and the road ahead. With the high beams switched on you give up a bit of visibility close-in (pot holes, gravel, etc). I run Sylvania Silverstar ZXE bulb and Phillips LED running light, great combo.
The high beam momentary switch actually enables the high beam while the low beam remains on--Wow--now that's some serious visibility. That's what I have been doing mostly, however it is inconvenient to hold that tinny trigger to keep them both enabled. Wondering if anyone has any wiring hacks to make the normal high beam switch keep both on or other solution?

For sale is a brand new Quick Charger I received when I purchased my 2017 DSR. I have no need for it since my DSR has the Charge Tank option. Brand new in original box shipped from ZERO.

The Quick Charger can be used to charge power pack modules when removed from the motorcycle. The ZF2.8, ZF3.3 or ZF3.6 Power Pack Modules, used with the Zero FX, Zero FXS and Zero XU motorcycles, require the Power Pack Module Charging Adapter when the power packs are charged off-board.
The Quick Charger North American kit includes a cord approved for use in North America, and the Quick Charger (96 Volt) UK and Hong Kong kits include a cord approved for use in the UK and Hong Kong.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2012 and older / Can't wait for the street version! Spoke to rep

I called and spoke a sales rep at Zero yesterday about the bike and am really excited to see what they come up with. He gave me a price of $7,950 and could put a $2000 deposit down. He said the frame was NASA engineered (a bit crude looking, but nothing a little plastic couldn't cover up). He said they were going to be assembling the test version in the next 2 weeks and are currently swamped with keeping up orders on the ZERO X. He had said that the batteries would last 1000 cycles, as you may know, and would cost $2000 or $3000 to replace, I can't recall. He said that it should be ready by the summer. I've been comparing to the Enertia and the Quantya, and although both of these bikes definitely have the better styling, the Zero has the technology from what I can gather reading around. I also contacted Quantya a while back and they are working on a US version of they're Strada (DOT street legal). Although I love my 2006 Husqvarna TE450 (DOT street-legal MX competition dirtbike), I can't wait to replace it with a Zero. The only worry I have, is although they aren't new to the game and have a reputable background in Mt. Bikes, these are first generation bikes. Just like cars, shouldn't you wait for at least the second one...?
