Hi I am currently retired.I first got interested in motorcycling at the age of 5 (my father built gp bikes in the garage at home Winning the lightweight gp and open tt 3 days later (NZ)He said he payed the best rider he could afford to race his bikes
He also did a lot of work later on speedway and sidecar engines mainly gs1000
I went on to race myself moto x then drag racing
I was a fabricator for 35 years and built a roadracing bike and a top bike with the guys I worked with (theres).I also dabbled in a few race cars around this time
I moved interstate in australia to canberra and worked in  motor vehickle dealerships  there and back in brisbane for 5 years mainly workshop but did a stint as a service advisor for ford
returning to fabrication for a year before being run over on the first zx14
Lately I have been working mainly in modifying programmes and engines in late model road bikes and cars which got me interested in electronics 06 gts commodore gsxr 600 ,1000 another 1000 a zx 14 now my current zx14

To be honest i do not really see the point in just throwing more voltage at the thing

Back to the lab again
I think it would be way better to use a axial flux motor although i have heard of some pretty serious costings for a yasa motor and controller if anyone can tell me a alternative or has any other ideas feel free to reply
I have also read that controllers and other electronic components are not that reliable
mainly because of poor production on low volume parts.

For now I am going to develop a series wound motored bike using a hand built frame so I can make all the parts fit better
I am hoping I do not run into too many problems with the australian design rules as this needs to be a road registered bike(any help here would be appreciated )
I think lipo would be the obvious choice for a batt
Has anyone given any thought to a cold charging system?

its just a gauge 9 sec 212mph top speed 30 passes back. tp back without refuelling or changing a thing ride it the 140 klms  from home  and back after its a street bike ridden 2 up with a pillion and has 87000klms on it should be good for another 200000klms might need a new battery for it sometime

My old infernal steam engined bike makes 240 hp at the crank runs a 9 sec 1/4 mile has a range of 360 klms and takes 30 seconds to refuel it owes me 9 grand get over it.
