Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / 2013 tax credit
« on: February 09, 2014, 12:47:39 AM »
I am trying to do my taxes and they asked me for a  manufacture's certification so the credit I get matches what's on the certification. Does anyone have info on this. I own a 2013 zero fx 5.7. I got an epa certification but there's nothing about tax credit.

I don't know if the specs are right but GOAL ZERO YETI 1250 solar kit or Yeti 400 solar kit might be right there a little expensive, on another thread someone said a yeti 1250 could charge fx 5.7 25% before being recharged itself. the yeti 1250 can use wind power too I think

I got just one of mine yesterday 9-11-13 hoping to get the other tomorrow. I think they are giving everyone just one back for now and the other one if you had two  a couple  of days later . I hope any ways.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Re: Quick charging the FX

Thanks for the picture, kinda figured that's what I had to do. I'm just afraid of messing up the plastic. I think the replacement batteries arrived this week at zero then they ship them out. I'm guessing next week people will start getting there's.

I was wondering if anybody else with a fx doesn't have the auxiliary charging connector like it is shown in the owners manual and on the zero fx web page. On my fx there is no auxiliary charging connector like in the owners manual unless its under that plastic cover. There is no port or anything just the plastic cover that covers that whole section. So if you don't have this how do you quick charge?

I found out yesterday that zero made a mistake on my title to my bike so now I have to wait to see if my dealer freemont Motorsports in Florence, Colorado and zero can fix this so my credit union can send it to the county clerk in Pueblo, CO. And see if they can fix this before my new power pack arrives from the recall or I will be waiting longer to ride my bike. Did this happen to anybody else.

I got a letter from zero today was dated 19th of July, it was to say sorry about the recall and that the new batteries would be delivered about late August. They are also giving away free jacket and gloves to those affected. I also wanted to know if they were finished picking up the bad batteries because I still have my original set. I live in Pueblo Colorado maybe they have not gotten to my area yet or I have good batteries. Does anyone else still have there bad batteries for the fx or any info. Zero customer service is never there when I call.

Trikester how did they pick them up. Did they call first or did you get something in the mail. Did they make an appointment. I live in colorado so I was wanting to know when and how they did it.

I called zero today because I have a 2013 fx just got a week and half ago and they said zero is sending out reps to pick up the defective batteries and take back to Cali to check out and if your battery is good they  will send it back if not they get you a new one. They made it sound like they would come to your house and pick up the batteries no matter what time of year your bike was built defective or not. I wish they were more clear about this.  I wish they would just send good batteries to the dealers and have you swap them out there so there's less down time.

How can you tell when your bike was built. I just got my 2013 fx  two weeks ago, my dealer got it from a zero rep who got it from another dealer.

Zero Motorcycles Forum | 2013+ / Insurance for my 2013 zero fx
« on: June 24, 2013, 10:36:45 PM »
Any suggestions on insurance, I am using progressive but it's like $800 a year that really high.
They didn't have my bike in there computer. So I want to change it. Seems like a lot of insurance companies don't know zero bikes.

Just got a fx bike cool bike but the rear brakes squeak or make noise similar to a ten speed bike brakes make when you stop. These just make noise as I come to a complete stop. Is because there new or something else. The rear brakes do feel a little tight I barely have to press on them.

I was just wondering we're the led lights were for the status of the battery, the manual is not specific and the picture looks like from the ds or s model. The picture is on page 6.2 of the FX/XU owners manual. Maybe on the FX you have to take off one of the protective covers?

Just got a 2013 FX was wondering were the BMS is, the owners manual shows for a different bike and also do you need to bleed the air out of the forks that much?
