I had a similar problem a couple days ago on my 2011 S. It was Fully charged, lifted the side stand, no throttle response, cycled the key, kill switch and side stand a few times, and it moved about 100ft and stopped. I found the heavy, blue plastic plug (under the left, rear corner of the battery box) disconnected. I assumed it was supposed to be plugged in? After plugging it in, still no throttle response. I cycled the key, kill switch and side stand a few times and bingo, it worked. Have not had any problems since, I think the heavy plug was the problem and it took a few minutes for the computer to figure out things were back together.

Spenny, My 2011 does not have regen, I would imagine you set the regen from a selection of  or custom programs before you ride. Could you explain this and how the ones you've used work while riding? I use LOTS of regen while driving the Volts. Thanks, Sarge

Hi j.coal: Thanks for the reply, your detailed instructions seem easy to follow. I can't imagine lifting it enough to check the run out of the tire/wheel will put much stress on the plate. Will try it and report back. Thanks again, Sarge

Not sure about the hop, chatter, wobble?? I live in N WI, it will be a bit before I can road test. 190lbs, I checked the sag when I first brought it home, it was within recommended specs. I need to lift the bike to be sure the wheel is OK before mid March, as my warranty is up then. Thanks, Sarge

Thanks for the advice chdfarl, the problem is, the frame rails do not extend far enough forward, all that's there is the bottom of the battery enclosure. It seems like the enclosure acts as a member, sort of like some bikes use the engine. Thanks again, Sarge.

My bike seems to hop a little when I get over 50mph, it's done this since new and now has about 2.5k on the clock. I've tried messing with the suspension settings some. I would like to check the run-out and balance of the front spoke wheel, but I can't find much of a frame below the battery box. How do I safely and without damage lift the bike?

I have a 2011 Zero S, I've NEVER used WOT, I've used brushed AC motors for years and noticed that brush arcing and wear is directly related to load. I am only interested in distance and longevity, so no need for WOT and increased wear and tear. Sarge

2011 Zero S. Used LED running light IN housing. LED strip lights from Walmart around rim and on front of headlight bracket. Used  AB switch under instrument cluster to switch from low beam to LED's, high beam is not affected. Bike is much more visible with LED's than with the standard low beam, I can switch back for night driving.

Autozone flasher #758 has to correct polarity,plugs in and fits in the strap. $11.49 and you don't have to mess with the NET. Note: Be sure to look for LED on the flasher, some of the 758's did not have it???  Oops! I got it at 0'Reilly Auto Parts, Auto zone  has LED flashers, I did not have time to check the polarity.
