I have a 2009 Zero X with a newly refurbished 2011 battery from Zero that they sent to warranty the original battery. The charger is the updated version as well. I was one of the original independent reps and this is my demo unit. Unfortunately I have not had much luck selling the bike complete so I'm going to sell it off in pieces. As the summer season starts to wind down now, I need move my demo bikes out to make room for new bikes next spring. I have a 2009 X and a 2010 DS that need a good home. Both machines have been very well cared for and used appropriately. I am a long time motorcycle industry professional and took exceptional care of both of these bikes. They are VERY low mile machines as I wanted to keep them looking and performing as new for demonstration purposes. Both bikes have all updates installed.

The 2009 X is still on its original tires and have been worn by about half and I have replaced the front brake pads once. This bike has the early flat body style. Some off road miles, but mostly parking lot demonstration time. $4500 firm.

The 2010 DS is dressed in the blue graphics. Less than 50 miles as of today. Again I do not ride it much to keep it prestine for demos.  $7500.

This is a great opportunity to get the Zero you want at a significant discount.

Thanks for additional info Skadamo. I have a feeling it was just as you said a prolog or something like a special test. Unless they were able to stage cells on the course it would be very difficult to finish the main event. The bike is capable as I'm sure the riders are but the energy density would have been the point of failure.

We are moving in the right direction though. Very exciting!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the new Hayes Pro Bleed Kit is now in stock.

I am continually impressed by the stopping power of the Hayes Stroker Ace brakes on most of the Zero X and MX bikes. You just wouldn't think that brakes originally designed for a mountain bike would hold up on a 150 pound bike plus a rider. But they do. However, I have found the small volume of the system does take its toll on the brake fluid much more quickly than on other bikes. Bleeding your brakes more often than on a similar gas machines is a concession to the light weight brakes on the X/MX. Don't let your failing brake fluid surprise you when you need your brakes the most. The kit comes with everything you need to get the job done. The only tools you will need are a 6mm wrench and a T10 Torx.

Ahhhh, a kick stand. Well This is something I have been working on quite a bit actually. Probably the most asked for accessory yet. I have plowed an embarrassing amount of money into design and prototypes. I've tried several different mounting locations. Fold up types, insert types, etc. None of which have produced something I would spend my money on as a consumer. It boils down to the fact that the frame is so small and THIN, there is nowhere to tuck it out of the way. Your either standing on it or it's just dangerous. I have to shelve it for now.

A rear road tire under $50 will be tough no matter the brand or nationality. Plus the X/MX has such unusual rear sizing that it's just plain hard to find many options at all. The 3.5 x 17" is roughly a 100/90-17. That's even small for a front street tire. I'll be certain to share what I find as I find new products that work.

I'm grateful for the dialog however. Gives me a better idea what folks really want/need.
