General Discussion / Re: New NiMH battery from Colorado Advance Battery

they said that they are not interested in our market segment, and I could buy a pack in the 3,000+ range custom built.  I guess they don't want to sell us batteries.  Sounds kinda stupid to me.  I also heard that they may have trouble pushing out enough power for us, maybe he knew that and didn't want to be proved right, or reminded of the output inadequacy. I don't know, but I ain't popping down 3G's to find out.  I got a little of a shady vibe from the whole scene.  If they want to prove me wrong on their dime I will play ball, but I am moving on.-Blind

They are actually the store front for NILAR batteries.  The Blindspot crew is actually headed down to NILAR tomorrow, to look at the facilities, and hopefully get some batts to try out!  I will post my findings on here.  We will also be stopping at Boulder EV, Tesla, and Evolve electrics( if time allows)-Blind

welding wire dude, #4 or #6.  Try airgas. NAPA has it too, maybe even autozone, but a welding shop/NAPA will have it for sure.- Blindspot 8)

I also love that you can see the batteries in some shots and they say Die Hard on them.  Wow, those must have cost a bundle.  All my friends and relatives, are sending me articles on this now, and I have to laugh.  I cant wait until OCT.22 to see the episode. All the industry blogs are bashing them too for the "worlds first electric"  claim.  You have to be pretty ballsy, researched, or stupid to claim worlds first anything.  I am betting on the latter. Thanks for the publicity though guys.  Hey if we keep building our bikes, maybe someday we can be the first too!

So the OCC boys jumped on the bandwagon and made a "million dollar" electric chopper.  The first in the world they claim.  What does this mean?  That all of us don't exist?  Who will be the first to sue these idiots?  Do they not have a legal team that checks before making claims?  I can appreciate the attention that it will bring to out industry, but to claim the 1st, is not cool.-Blindspot Cycles
