Parts, Mods And Hacks / Quantya Battery Packs - 3.7volt foil packs
« on: September 06, 2012, 09:22:12 PM »
Hi All,
Do any of you know where I could get my hands on individual battery packs for a Quantya? To be clear I'm not looking for the entire battery, but the individual 3.7v battery foil packs that are inside the battery box. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Tech Help / Quantya LiPo Battery - 57 or 24 volts?
« on: May 22, 2012, 11:20:46 AM »
Hi everyone, I am hoping one of you can point me in the right direction. I have a 2009 Quantya Track/Strada with 72 hours on it. I use it primarily as a commuter, 20 minute enduro ride to work. and back. A month or so ago I left the bike on charge overnight and managed to burn out my AXE 4844 controller by overcharging the battery. In the meantime I have replaced that with the larger AXE 7245 controller. All has been well until this past weekend. Then i noticed something strange. I went out on a 45 minute enduro ride, and when I returned put it on the charger. A couple hours later I disconnected the charger and turned the key. Nothing....

I grabbed the volt meter and checked the voltage at the battery. At that time I had less than 1 volt... 2 hours later I checked again and I had 24 volts... 2 hours after that I had my 57 volts again.

Yesterday I rode the bike to work in the morning. A couple hours later I wanted to make a quick trip to the store and, nothing. Later in the day I bummed a voltmeter from someone and went to check the bat voltage. 57. After work I had no issues getting home. Once home, I put it on the charger again. After charging I checked the bat, and only had 24 volts again.

After sitting overnight, I again have 57 volts.

If anyone has an idea what would cause that, I would appreciate any input.

Thanks!
