Sorry for your negative experiences in EV.
Hopefully they were offset a bit with some positives.

Well, it's like I tell people... EVs are great - until they break, and then you get to keep both pieces. I've replaced it with a Tracer 9GT+

It does not help of course, that there's very little EV charging infrastructure in Florida. Also, I've noticed a stark decline in the state of it in the past 2 years... you roll up to a station and less than 50% of the chargers are functioning. There's been lots of times I've ended up somewhere NONE of the chargers work... and the apps say they're functional. And I'm screwed because the distance to the next charger is about my remaining range. Or more.

Even if you did get a new battery you would not be able to put it in, they are not swappable w/o re programming the new battery's.. lets call it serial number, so the rest of the stuff say, yah it's part of the family, lets talk to it.  you'd have to take it to a dealer or san fran it still.

Bingo. As Adam Savage would say "THERE'S YER PRAHBLEM"

That's inexcusable. That's like saying "oh you can put in new brake calipers, but then you need the dealer to use his special tool to attach them, and you can't buy that special tool"

That's the main problem with EVs. When they break, they're a proprietary system that no one can work on and usually no one can get parts for.

So it's an expensive paperweight. Like the Energica in my garage. Doing nothing, just taking up space. Non-repairable.

Look at all the issues that NewZeroLand (YouTube) had getting his Zero working again.

Contrast that with my '07 FJR-1300 I've kept running for nearly 20 years. Yamaha published a 5" thick service manual, and I can still buy parts for it 20 years later. Sure, it took 4 days to dig the starter out and replace it, but it was possible.

It's a waste to sink any more money in this. I'm going to take this as a painful and expensive learning experience and move on.

Also FYI, this is different behavior from when the HV supply died. When that happened, the bike was simply dead, and when you turned the key or plugged in the charger, nothing happened. No lights, no sounds, nothing.

Might want to bring a couple burly guys along... when I had to get it into a U-Haul to take to the dealer, I needed a couple folks to help push it up the ramp. It's HEAVY.

Black with blue. 11,528 miles. Michelin Road 5 tires with 3.7K on them.

Will not charge now. It was my main local transportation, then the HV power supply failed, and it sat at the dealer for 11 months before Energica admitted to going bankrupt. I paid to have it sent to Energica in San Francisco and serviced. A couple months later, it would only charge to 85%. A couple months after that, it would only charge to 60%. Now when you turn it on or insert the J-1772, it says "Battery Depleted Charge Now" and shuts off. It doesn't attempt to charge.

I no longer have the energy or patience to get a new battery installed. Hopefully someone here can do that or part it out.
