2012 DS same glitch as everyone else, really weird to just come out of nowhere. Was running great since the the big reboot reinstall of software in September. Total miles now 8785

I have a very similar problem that started May 1st, really bad May 5, was unable to go from a stop, recycled then ok till 45mph then a shudder from the motor, couldn't trust it any further went home and waiting for the dealer to open Tuesday. Very annoying, was running great with no issues since they rebooted the whole system in sept of 2012. Total miles 8785.

I have a 2012 DS and it recently quit after a very strong "shudder" from the motor. I brought it in for the recall and they did the update and gumpucky on the connectors, 1 day later, it shuddered and shut off again, I turned the key off then on and I made it home ( limping) the service rep says he will contact Zero and see what they can do. Meanwhile it really sucks to not be able to trust your transportation, my guess is something must be replaced and not just "remapped, rebooted, or updated" also it never showed a code of any kind or any warning lights. Hopefully this will be resolved quickly as to not have a large amount of people inconvenienced and tarnish the electric bikes reputation.

I have a 2012 Zero DS, the rear tire is worn out at 3200 miles!  Found a Shinko rear street tire 110/90-16 from JPCycles for $48.99 + $7.99 shipping, will post later to see how well it holds up!

Very hard to find the rear tire size 110/90-16 for the DS.  JP Cycles has a shimko(SR735) for about $55 (including shipping! )

I had a strange issue also, was stopped at a traffic light for about 30 seconds, when it was time to go ...nothing, pushed to the curb and turned off the key then on, ok since then..weird--no codes or warning lights

Finally got word my bike was shipped, hope to see it next week! One of the reasons it's taking so long is that the factory has to balance how many bike go to Asia, Europe, and wherever else they sell them to.

It has been 3 weeks since my deposit on a 2012 DS ZF9, anyone have info on why it's taking so long? What's the rate of production and how many are being shipped out and to where??

I received my DS ZF9 on 4/5/2012 and absolutely love it!  Drove it home from the dealer (60 miles) and still had 3 bars of "juice" left half of the trip was 60-70mph and the rest 40-50 rural traffic. These bikes are great, they do what the company says they will do, if anyone is on the fence about these bikes, jump off the fence and on a Zero!

Harley actually had an electric motorcycle prototype back in the '30s-'40s and I believe I saw one in the museum at Maggi Valley , NC

Just test rode the Zero DS and placed my order for a 2012 Zero DS ZF9, waiting impatiently till next week!
