Another data point in case useful - my Ribelle has the factory-fit heated grips and I thought they were great - I found them plenty hot enough on setting 1 (of 3). I'm comparing them with factory-fit Triumph Tiger Sport heated grips (borderline not warm enough even on setting 2 of 2) and self-fitted Oxford grips on a Daytona (plenty warm enough, rarely set above 40-60%).

I do also have the factory hand guards option on the Ribelle but I tend to take them off once the weather gets warmer.

Certainly sounds like some variability!

Tap the bolt with the hammer until it moves into the bar:


At which point you can withdraw the mount from the bar end:


For those wondering, this is what the mount looks like - you can see how tightening up the mounting bolt causes the cone to pull into the cylinder, securing it against the inside of the bar end:


I ordered some replacement plastic domed/hemi-spherical bar ends but couldn't find a perfect snug fit for the 16.8mm inner diameter:


So I had to wrap a little decorators tape and/or duct tape around until a snug interference fit was obtained. HTH!

Energica / HowTo: Remove hand guards on Eva Ribelle

Hi all, I ordered my Ribelle with hand guards as I'm more likely to ride it outside of summer with a bit more wind protection for my hands.

But, in summer I wanted to remove them. I searched for information on how to do this without damaging any fittings but didn't find any so thought I'd post these photos in case they help anyone else.

Here's the stock hand guards fitted:


After undoing the hex head bolt, the guard comes away leaving the mount protruding from the bar end:


To remove the bar end get a long M8 bolt, thread it in part way and lightly tap it with a hammer:
