I have a 2017 FX. I have 2500 miles on it and it is tons of fun with no issues. I weigh 190 lbs and I normally get 50 miles on a charge. Tons of fun!!!!

I have a 2017 FX and I hate the front brake lever. I just bought a (generic) adjustable replacement set on ebay (supposedly it will fit) for $55. I plan on replacing the controls and relocating the rear brake to a left hand brake. I may need to get a longer rear brake line tor stretch from the left bar to the ABS and I will have to bleed the brakes but I think it will be worth it.

I will let you know what happens.

I wonder if anyone has a suggestion how to "unfreeze" the odometer on my beloved 2015 SR. The Odometer has been stuck for three months at 29184 miles. Zero has been unable to figure out a fix. What is interesting is that everything else on the instrument panel and motorcycle is business as usual...even the trip meter works and Zero feels that the motorcycle is still counting up the miles but simply not displaying the change. I purchased a new instrument panel on Zero's recommendation but it has the same issue (except that the new odometer is stuck at 0 miles....great for when it comes time to sell the motorcycle!).

Any ideas?

I just replaced my belt (2015 SR). I noticed teeth missing at 25,000 miles but it lasted almost another 1,000 miles before 90% of the teeth came off under full acceleration. I still made the 20 miles to home with a very gentle throttle hand.

A replacement belt was in stock at Monarch Powersports in Orem, UT. Total cost, with shipping, was $98 and it arrived in 3 days. I replaced the belt myself and it took about 15 minutes.

I love that motorcycle!

Does anyone in the US who has ordered these have any import duty experiences to share?

I purchased a single when they first came available. David is an excellent communicator and very easy to work with. I love the charger! I have done 4 ride/charge cycles in a single day....easily over 200 miles.

I did not have to pay any import duties (Colorado).

My replacement charger just died. I will drop off my 2015 SR Tuesday for "diagnosis" but we all know what the issue is. My first charger lasted 2426 miles, the second lasted 13,000 miles or about 400 charge cycles. If we want to be accurate the current charger is actually the third charger that has been in my bike; the first "replacement" charger did not work at the shop at the time of install. Bring on charger number 4!!!!

I was extremely disheartened to see that the 2016 models have the same issue. I would like to see the charger issues and limited charging power thoroughly addressed before I buy another Zero. I am thinking of getting a supercharger just so I avoid downtime but I would be getting it for the wrong reason and that would just be sad.

Overall I think the hassle the charger has caused is worth it because Zero motorcycles are pure magic.

in that case, you're in luck.
You can add both of those easily.

I have a work around for the helmet lock.

How do you add heated grips? Do tell.

I agree with what has been said by Sir Terry and others knowledgeable about these motorcycles. I had a 2010 and even though I got over 15,000 miles out of it there was a lot of work and learning involved. But what fun it was.

I now have a 2015 SR. The only problem I had was a charger failure at ~2,500 miles. I was replaced immediately by my dealer. Hundreds of charges since then and no issues of any kind.

Here is my point: the customer service from Zero is exceptional. Only BMW offers the same level of customer service.
