I used to have the axle mounted sliders front and rear but I took them off. For the same reasons.
They have markings for alignment but I measured and marked the swing arm so I know where to start. I also measured the drive belt tension before tightening the axle.
The scissor jack helped me a lot when I replaced the front and rear tires, which I did at the same time, as well as when aligned the front wheel.
I got the Dynamoto stands front and rear. It’s a little bit pricy but it’s worth it to me, having a limited space in our garage. It can place my bike anywhere when needed. I can also use it when I get another bike.
