thanks that makes sense. brake lines have always been attached to the abs so should be fine. ill bleed it and see how it goes

Hi has anyone come across the procedure for bleeding the abs brakes including the pump. calipers have been off my bike for a year so need to bleed the system. service manual mentions there's a special process for the abs pump but cant seem to find any more information on it

i had a similar issue where i needed to test the circuit as my lights weren't working. with the battery disconnected, i used a power probe to give 12v to the fuse box for the lights so i could see if it was a circuit fault or battery fault. this might be an idea. use the schematics to try and test different parts of the circuit.
mine ended up being a wiring issue as i changed the mbb and 12v dc convertor first, no luck. changed the main loom and it worked. i still need to check the main loom to see if i can see where its gone faulty

ive swapped mbb between fx and fxs and didnt have to do anything extra, it just worked as it is.
i cant remember 100 percent but sure the mileage was linked to the mbb

yeah its more about the config than quality as i realized nearly 70 of the electric stuff comes from there so its not like they're inexperienced. .
Ive spoke to them and they've asked me to confirm the specification of the Input and output plugs as well as the battery parameters. Also found a few other suppliers that have the same style so need to go through the charging threads on here and work out what's needed and see what they want to charge. may be able to get a group deal if anyone is also after one. was after the quic charger originally but not seen any for sale in england at moment so hoping to see if this is a good alternative

was looking for a used quic charge but doesnt seem to be any in the uk at the moment for my fxs. come across a seller on aliexpress that says they do one preconfigured but wondering if anyone has used them or one thats similar and has any feedback

would that mean it wouldn't work if it was connected or is it if not commissioned there's a chance settings could be wrong and wed damage the motor. been trying to find out wat commissioned actually does but not seen any posts mentioning

Hi
after some advice. I took on a project of repairing a 2018 zero fx that had the wiring loom cut in half. Ive swapped out the loom for one from a 2018 fx. the motor works fine but i cant get the lights(front headlights, front indicator, back indicator and tail light) or the dash backlight to come on.
Reading previous forum post point to the 12v dc convertor goin faulty or mbb. I have changed both parts with one from a 2019 fx and the lights still dont work. i have double checked the connectors and nothing is loose or unplugged so im sat here scratching my head on what it could be
so far i have tried the following
- all fuses checked
-internal bussman style fuses checked.
-12v dc board changed
-mbb changed
- if i use a power probe on the front fuse box and give 12v to fuse 5 and 6 which are for the dash and the lights i see that the dash and lights work fine so to me the circuit seems to be fine?
any ideas or suggestions on where to go from here?

also interested in this answer. as an fyi i asked my local dealer this same question. they advised a new MBB is £499.50 ex VAT. In regards to programming they werent sure. they advised they would first need to open a case as an issue and then send it back to zero to see what they say. this would start an hours worth of labour to open the case and then whatever cost zero decide to charge

Ill be active on here for a bit while i rebuild. the 12v supply isnt working so no lights horns etc. seen a few posts talking about the issue either being controller, mbb board or fuse but need to read up properly and test
