RE: Zero part number: 22-08055 (40mm Shock)

I needed to spec the correct spring (increased rate) for a 250 lbs rider and found little information about this available online. I first contacted my Zero dealer and they didn't know how to help me so I contacted Zero and the information they finally provided was not useful to the aftermarket spring supplier (Race Tech in this case). I must say that Race Tech was extremely patient with me while I attempted to figure this out. After ordering a lift, some tie-down straps, a spring compressor tool and a heavy vise, I was able to remove the rear shock from the motorcycle and safely remove the spring so I could take measurements with a caliper.
