I bought it Dec 20th 2022.
March of 2024 had it shipped to and from California for full maintenance, chain, sprockets and LED front turn signals with white driving lights.
Heated grips
Tank bag adaptor and tank bag
I put a windshield on it that comes off easy for summer.
Found a small good fitting rain deflector for the rear tire. Works really good.
Works great on all the DCFC ive used. Primarily charge at home on 110.
Charged reqularlly to 75% and monthly to 100%
Usually get 150 miles highway and city riding goes forever.
The only 3 things I can say about it is the tail light error b1002 comes on sometimes or never. When it was in California it had the exact same issue, they took off the seat and found it to be a loose connection. Im thinking its the same thing but I dont have the ability to pull the seat. It has the maintenance spanner on it and the Keyless one out of five times says it out of range.
I have all the original books and keys with it.
Excellent shape, the Michelin Road 6 are getting a bit warn.
Maintenance regularly performed.
Other than all that its totally stock.

I understand what you are saying and I have done that a few times on other sites with more visibility and got offers of tools or rc cars for trade. Seems like sub $7k is asking too much.

Hate to say it but after 3 wonderful years and 26000 miles I may be looking at selling my 2023 ss9 RS+.
Been a wonderful bike but Im looking at downsizing and I have too many vehicles.
Im in the Denver area, not looking to get a lot out of it and will make a good deal on it.
Chat me for more info an questions.

True. And it was odd. I did a Charge point dc charge yesterday for a good 30 mins. When it stopped at 88% (Mine never charges to 100% since the latest firmware either) I started another charge session. It ended in about a min with it still at 88%. I rode for 1 hour with no error at all, Which has never happened before. I turned it off at 69% and back on and immediately got the error again. And this recent time, a couple weeks ago, I got this error was after a lvl 2 charge point kiosk.
Im not saying that Charge point caused the error but it seems odd.
So Ill see if I can procure a new license plate bulb assembly. If not ill ride with that error and the service wrench for a while.

Sorry, 2023 ss9.
But very cool, I did comment in your post you shared (and the original one was from me) but I guess never revisited it. While this did happen to me 2+ years ago it was very different symptoms. Then it had many different light errors and not all the time. I could go 2 hours before I would get an error. That time is was some internal wiring that was loose, not the license plate bulb. Now, as soon as I go 1MPH I get the error and it never goes away until I turn it off.
I have the ability and tools to solder but not great at it. Ill look into your resistors configuration and see if I can figure it out.

Hello all, getting the B1002 tail light error constantly again. Any one know where one can get the license plate bulb assembly? I've resolved this a couple years ago but that time it was some lose wiring. Thanks! Joe

Same with my 2023 ss9 rs. After the firmware update it got a lot worse. As a matter of fact for the year and a half I had it before the update I may have seen key not in range 3 times in 12500 miles. Now every time. I thought after I got a tank bag ring Id be smart and just leave the key in it and it would be right on top of the antenna... Nope, it never worked in the tank bags, I tired 2 of them.
Not that it would help at all but Id love to have a 3D printed key to match mine with a knob on top to just leave in the seat lock. Just think it would break off at some point.

I wish this worked for me. Mine would charge to 100% whenever I set it to before I got the .43 FW. Ive had the new FW for 8200 miles and have spent weekends for hours/days unplugging and plugging it in. Ill just try doing the balancing monthly now but after 8000miles and probably 100 attempts to get it to 100% it will always and only stop at 91%. Ive mostly given up. I do get 180 miles at 50miles an hour out of the "92%" charge so im not complaining about my range but I dont think Im capable of doing a balanced charge myself.

Arron, I think I know how to fix your charging AMP fluctuations. When balancing your battery to 100% and the charging stops bellow try unplugging and plugging in again (until timeout) letting it slowly creep up to 100%. For some reason these bikes tend to time out early before reaching 100% but by re-plugging it again and again (as long as it takes) you can reach 100% SOC. That is when you know that you have every cell balanced to the max voltage and that should also fix those fluctuations at lower SOC levels or when the battery is cold and you're attempting to recharge.
It worked for me since I didn't charge to 100% for a long time until I started having similar issues. Also that's what Stefano and Chris Paz recommended, so you know that I'm not pulling this info out of nowhere

Hello, Yes, this was me for about 6-8 months. I replaced the License plate bulb about 3 times but didnt fix it. I had it shipped to Energica/California for about 5 different items and they found a loose wire. Not seen the issue in 3000 miles.
So, must have been it.
"Lighting faults - It appears the bike was correctly throwing faults as the current draw of the brake light being measured was below the allowable range. It appears the brake / running light connector was not fully seated causing these inconsistent current draw readings. After identifying and correcting that I have been unable to recreate the faults."

I too leave my regen on max 100% of the time. Really for 3 reasons, save on brakes, gain some power back and I do a lot of night riding with dear running in front of me. Instinctively Ill let off the throttle when I see one and that drops my speed extremely quick before I have a chance to hit the brakes. The only negative on high regen, and its kind of a big one, is when you disengage cruise control. Sometimes that scares the sht out of me.

Well, a few days ago I did a quick rear Brake flush. Before my peddle would go almost all the way down with out much braking. Now the peddle moves maybe an inch or so. I no longer see any odd traction lights and its operating as it did before the FW update. Im wondering if there is a sensor on the peddle itself and with it being lose and bouncing around while deceleration if it thought it was trying to give more braking than it was. Dunno but after 150 miles seems great.
