I'll dig this one out to add my findings. Zero spare parts have a disasterous supply chain, and Zero Europe is unable to estimate when a replacement handlebar 27-08151 will arrive at my dealer's.

TRW has had European compliance checks for a couple of their aftermarket handlebars. Dimensions and model numbers in the illustration attached.

Anyways, the electricity of the bike seems to be designed around the two swap-able batteries. Those batteries are determined by a consortium of motorcycle manufacturers and are supposed to be swapped between models. Size of the batteries is limited by maximum weight, so everybody can handle these and charge them in a condo or office.

No doubt, the output of these batteries will limit the maximum current and thus the bike's performance.

For the European Union, they could even comply this bike in the 50cc class "L1e", where the mean power limit is 4kW (5.44 PS) with a top speed limit of 45km/h (28mph).

None of the swap-battery-bikes will ever compete with A1-licence Zeros.

Easy now. Not saying discrimination is bad, but there are better places to do that - where everyone expects it.

That said, thanks for sharing your experience, jotjot. I'm not yet trying to test race tracks, but get safer in driving. While there are enough group trainings on offer, I decided to do a 1on1-training. Price was twice that of a group training, but I'll do that again: it was relaxed throughout while also very efficient.
Maybe you find something similar at a small track that doesn't need to be fully booked to survive?

It appears that the noise comes from the motor sprocket: it is loose, I can wiggle it along the axis. The sprocket retaining screw looks like it doesn't wiggle with it; ie. the bearings might be ok. My guess is the screw became loose - I can see the white marking on the screw; but not on the sprocket tophat, as it is covered in brown dust.

I've sent a video of the loose sprocket to ownersupport@zeromotorcycles.com, and await their advice as the bike is still in the warranty period.

Use the Zero Motorcycles app, not the Zero Next Gen.

Bring a lot of patience when pairing the phone to the bike, connecting the bike and downloading the logs. I'd say that will take between one and three hours; likely some tries. Make sure your phone does not go into sleep mode while downloading the logs.

You might need to remove the seat and some fairings.
