Those look similar.

IDK where you are located, but there are often shops specialised on Italian bikes. If you look for something, just phone them and ask. Have some measurements of the handlebar ready (mid diameter, end diameter, angle etc.).

Yep, I have the measurements :-) Here in Norway I dont know of anye specialized shop of Italian bikes (we are a small country). My dealer has trouble finding the right part. Those you linked to are the same width, but too short  - the SS) has about 20cm height.... it is the height that is the problem.

I'll keep looking.

Hi all,

I have had a small accident with my 2022 SS9+. Someone managed to back into it, and it tipped over. I have found new parts for almost everything, despite the fact that spare parts are hard to come by (the plastic will be welded and repainted instead of swapped for new plastic).

The handlebars need replacing as the original is a little bit bent.

It is no problem finding aftermarket handlebars that fit, except all of those that I have found are lower than the original.

Do any of you know of any bikes that have handlebars that are of approximately same height and width ? If I can mange to find that, the dealer can order for me.

Don't forget to order a new locking washer as well, that is a 3 USD piece that ensures the nut becomes loose while riding.

So yes, I strongly advise to use a locking nut on the front sprocket. Just a hex screw is an invite for desaster. The bike can produce up to 200 Nm of torque and some substantial part of that is working in reverse direction e.g. if going from high speed into full recuperation.

Just changed the sprockets and chain on my SS9 (same parts as the Ribelle.

The fixing nut on the front sprocket, I should need to change it next time. Do you remember where you bought it, or the specs for it ? My dealer is not able to get a new one, so I plan to get a new one myself, good time in advance.

Did just that. Bought a chain intended for R1 and the likes. Cant remember the brand now. Anyway, the OEM chain (Regina), I will NOT buy again... not sturdy enough.

I always order parts from ebay etc ahead of time so I have them when actually needed...I ordered two sets of sprockets and chians so I don't have to wait for them to arrive.

You do realise that I, also, can do that. It is just that this is the first time I have to order sprockets/chain from another place than the dealer (since Energica is bankrupt). And I did order up ahead, but I got the wrong rear sprocket, and I didn't realise until just now.

Thats why I asked for some insight.

Alternative manufacturers for AFAM are: JT Sprockets, Supersprox, Esjot, Superlight. I recommend looking at ebay as the other guys already did.


When changing the rear you should probably also change the front sprocket. No-RS is 16 teeth, RS is 15 teeth. Refer to the following post:

Aside from what I wrote, I would go for a rubberized 'silent' front sprocket again (it is a bit less noisy indeed) and I would refrain from buying a customized rear sprocket from Supersprox again (bad manufacturing).

A new chain would also be good, otherwise the old chain could cause an increased wear of the new stuff.
You need an open chain, 525 pitch with 112 links.
For chains I chose Enuma/RK from Japan because of their screw-lock. What I never will buy again are Regina chains.

Ahm, yeah they do. However there are variations. i know I need the 92630-sprocket, and I know some BMW and Aprilia uses them. But which models? I need to know bike make, model and year....

The alternative is ordering on specs, whihc has a three week delivery time...

I am trying to order a rear sprocket for a Ribelle and an SS9 (the use the same rear sprockets).

Here in Norway I cannot order sprockets by specs, I have to order by bike brand. Problem is, I do not have to option to choose Energica as a brand (too few bikes sold, I guess). Does anyone know of any bike that uses the same rear sprocket, so that I can find the correct sprocket by ordering for supposedly another bike?

Agreed,

I now own a very rare SS9 (I think the colors I chose have not been delivered to any other bike in Europe), at a zero to no resale value  :-)

As for the battery, there  is a tech shop here in Norway that claims they can repair or swap single cells in the battery. For the electronics, if things go bust, the bike is a brick....

Aha, thanx - I thought those were different tools, but now, after consulting with the almighty google, I have seen my erroundous ways.


I think I'll go with the tool with internal stubs - the nm needed is very high, so no chances taken there.

I am 99% positive it is identical on Ribelle and SS9, as everything else is the same (chain lenght, sprocket specs, etc). The two bikes share a lot: Brakes, frame, wheel/tyres, some of the plastics, etc.

If not, I can always return parts not usable.

Found it too.

OK, I'm good, now it is off to order-new-parts-land, and then do the job. I will NOT be ordering the Regina chain, mine is almost done after only 12 000 km...... Half the life I got out of the chain I used on my ZX14....
