Sorry if this has been asked already but I couldn't find any reference to it. Is the ZeNGo app good enough for keeping an eye on the 12V battery?

My sr/s did this once, very similar to the first description in this thread, about 6 months ago. Dealer told me a recall was imminent so I waited. But heard nothing.

In the mean time I noticed when washing the bike the charge socket would fill with water and a drain hole in the side of the socket seems to aim at unsealed wires below (might be a type 2 socket thing?). Added a rubber plug on the charge socket from the end of my charge cable and a piece of hose from the drain hole out to part of the frame.  I've ridden in some pretty bad rain a couple of times since and never even had an error.  I wasn't sure there wasn't something in the firmware updates which had stopped it though.

Anyone got any more tips for getting a firmware update to work? Last one worked first go but this MBB 26 has failed so many times now I've lost count. I've tried my phone in a number of different locations and with mobile data or wifi turned off and it keeps failing. I think it may be the Bluetooth to the bike losing connection but I don't know what I can do to help it.

Sorry, was thinking as I typed that. "It" was a DCDC convertor. Unless, as has just occured to me, they tranform then rectify. Probably best to ignore my ramblings and I should try to type fully formed thoughts.

Wouldn't it basically be the ac charger without a rectifier?  Comms are weird for ccs but done over the CP line and there's plenty of stuff out there to do that, and there must be existing circuitry to read the old CP stuff and pass that to the chargers/bms.

I'd never spotted them in the manual before.  I must have only looked up the ones I'd seen.

One of the faults is for CCS DC-DC converter, my guess would be they are keeping the batteries the same and using this to change the voltage.  I believe Porsche do something similar but the other way round as their batteries are 800V but most CCS chargers can't go this high.
