No argument here that time degrades the pack. But that degradation is eclipsed by constant usage. In a hypothetical scenario with 2 identical battery packs I would take a 10 year old unused battery that was stored at 50% in a cool, dry environment over a 2 year old pack that had 80% DOD for a 5 day workweek 45 weeks per year over that time period.

But in either case I would not introduce a new module on top of a used module. I have written my reasoning clearly and concisely. You are free to disagree with me as is anyone here. My only goal is to try and help people get the best value for their money. I believe what I've written is true and my goal is to just help the Average Joe from throwing their money away on headaches. Power Tanks do not perform as advertised. That is my belief based on research and experience. I can only lead the proverbial horse to water.

I have the original power tank and battery on my new 2021 SRS and I have never observed the phenomenon you describe.

You can always disconnect the 12-volt battery for a few minutes.
It worked for me when the insulation failed significantly.
If the problem persists, you can also remove the two high-voltage fuses on the left battery.
I hope that works.
If not, in the worst case scenario, reset the BMS located under the hood in front of the front wheel.

on my sr/s 2021, I had the old screen, which has since been replaced because it was taking on water.
the new screen is bigger, but I put back a protection that I had left, it is smaller than the screen, but protects very well, it is not very shocking to see that the protection is smaller

I rode it for 1 year.
better protection against wind and rain, less noise in the helmet.
disadvantage, cuts the wind too much and creates fog in the helmet especially in winter.
very fragile, I already have many micro scratches.
I have not noticed any difference in autonomy with the 2 bubbles.

Today I received a reply from Zero Tech Support about MBB firmware V39.  Here are the changes:
1.  Resolving a bug that caused the state of charge (SoC) to drop shortly after completing a charge.
2.  Enhancing the range estimation algorithm for downhill travel.
3.  Fixing a logging issue related to reported charge temperature.

These changes are STILL not posted on Zero's website, so I hope this post helps those, like me, who want to know what's involved with a firmware change before accepting it.

I noticed this too yesterday morning when I unplugged, it came on briefly for 1/2 second.
for me I think it's since the last update...
for a problem solved by an update, zero creates new ones lol

This is exactly what I noticed with each change, or belt tension, it moves at the final tightening.
That's why I spend time on it, because I'm looking for perfection lol

hi, I understand your problem perfectly.
I'm on my fifth belt.
I broke 4 in 50,000 km.
recently I changed the pinion and crown, and put my fifth new belt. (the pinion and crown had pronounced wear).
since then everything is fine.
the reference of the pinion that I mounted, was not the same as originally mounted 30-08210, and 30-08403.
however be careful, it is absolutely necessary that the belt is well tensioned, for me 65Hz, and that it is flush with the crown on the left outer side.
when turning the motorcycle on the center stand, the belt makes oscillations left right, which I think is quite normal, and homogenizes the wear on its entire surface.
