Title: CSC City Slicker. Anybody heard of or seen them?
Post by: alko on March 01, 2020, 06:13:52 AM
I found a new cheap electric motorcycle/scooter that seem like would be a great back up or second electric bike for under $3000 delivered to your door. Anyone have experience on one?
Below are links to the website and a great review by electrec.

Other than it qualifies as a full motorcycle but is underpowered, no.

It has a really attractive price point, tho.

There is more than one video review of the Slicker on YouTube, including one showing the bike arriving in a truck and the new owner unboxing it and riding off.  It looks like good value for the money as long as you don't need to travel too far and can keep your speed under 45 mph.   :)

Since i only use my zero for commuting anyways and I can avoid the freeway altogether if needed, I think I'm going to get one. Supposed to be a blast to ride, of course not as much a blast as my zero. May e I'll buy two so I'll have a backup for my backup. 😊

Did you read the article?  The guy (who gets linked lots of here) bought the bike it sounds like he intends to keep it but describes purchacing insurance for only a month.  I don't have one or even seen one but there is lengthy discussion in another forum on the internet.

Edit:  I had read the article before, it says insurance $30 a month.  I think my policy has pay in full, pay in installments, either two payments or 10 payments.  I have a policy here in Ct It is only $100 a year and I have 4 bikes on it and one is 1001cc, one is 500cc and the two others are basically to enter off road events that use some public roads.  Kind of strange he can't just add it to his policy.
