My dealer offers a self-developed modification of the rear of the SR/F, after he had several requests for it.
What do you think?

Nice indeed, appears to be a well-thought-out kit. How much did he ask for that?
I find the original Zero fixture to be ok for my taste. I only wish it would be mounted more in the center, on my SR/F it is a little asymmetrical. Also, dirty road water has it too easy reaching the breaking light.

I'd buy one right now if it was available in the States.

I was able to center the attachment very easily: I loosened the 2 bolts and inserted a plain washer under the side that needed to be pushed away from the bike. Since the bolt goes through the washer it became invisible and it is now dead-center.
The washer goes of course, between the frame and the attachment.

Wow really?
Most people paid to get the tidy tail to get rid of this on the "S" bikes. Zero got rid of it on the SRF and now people are paying to get an aftermarket attachment that looks like the old plate hanger.
I think there is a "I've got to change my motorcycle from the factory look" disease. I hope I don't catch it. :)

I didn't like either option. I got rid of the tire hugger. My plate is screwed into the turn signal housing under the seat. Does make the plate sit at an angle, but the number is readable and I haven't had any issues with the police.

Well, it's just an offer; I did not ask how much it costs. The offer was sent by email without a price tag.
I don't know why people have asked for it. If I would want to have it it was more because of practical reasons then because of aesthetics. I also thought of protection from road water when I saw it.
