New to the forum and the EV world, got it on something of a whim for my birthday but still got it used so it cut the price in half from new...At least that's that I thought until getting it shipped from Texas and paying all of the title transfer fees, taxes etc. here in Seattle. Still way better than new but still more than I had hoped to spend. I've ridden Zero motorcycles on demo days for the past few years but nothing has come close to my GSX600 until the 20017 SR. I actually went and rode the SR/F before this one got here and I am much happier with this one.
I'm no stranger to modifying things and am looking forward to ripping this thing apart to fix the two major issues I have always had with Zero motorcycles....The bolt upright riding position and the lack of fairings. I feel like I've been getting kicked in the face repeatedly without a windshield every time I cruise at 70MPH and I've tucked as low as I can go just to see and watch as the power output decreases significantly while staying at the same speed so I'll be ditching all the plastics, maybe shifting the footpeg location and definitely doing clip-ons.

Welcome! I own nine motorcycles and the electrics are my favorites to ride. I put more miles on my two electrics than my seven other ICE cycles combined. And one of them is the 2017 SR. But I have even more miles on my DS ZF 6.5 as I take it on RV trips and also use it almost every day here in Reno (weather permitting).
What did you not like as much about the SR/F? I still have not yet ridden one. The demo here at Euro-cycles in Reno has problems--and nobody around to fix it! I hear all the mechanics there recently quit!
