Has anyone swapped the sprocket sizes and gone down in chain size to increase range? Possibly looked into putting a set of lighter tires than what come stock or gone from the stock wheeels to the O.Z’s or possibly carbon?

I did that on my FX without noticing any real difference. Tried 30 but took most of the fun out of the ride. Put a 28, more fun but still not as much as stock. Have to get around to putting the 25 back on.
Did the same with my SR, put the High speed rear on. Slowed it WAY down, probably would have been better if I had put the 25 on the front. Again, didn't have it on long enough to notice a difference.
Put pressure in tires to maximum listed on the side. That should get you a reasonable increase without additional cost. The Touring screen seems to help as well

The most important basic modification you can do to a stock electric motorcycle to increase range is to install a large, streamlined windscreen on it that gets the wind off of your body without having a "barn door" effect. You should gain 10-15% highway range if chosen properly.
Compared to drag, powertrain losses are miniscule.

How did this turn into a Zero topic when this is under the Energica section haha? The SR doesn’t come with sprockets and a chain where you can down size the thickness of the chain so I would think less people have played with that and the Energica being more of a high performance bike I was curious if people had done some swapping or with the less rotational mass they gained a little more. I can’t see someone other than maybe electric cowboy swapping to CF wheels for racing the zero since as I mentioned aren’t really a performance oriented e-bike. I have an SR as well and definitely didn’t see any difference in putting a windscreen on..I have the puig so not the biggest either.

For maximum range I would say to go with the Ego instead of the Eva. With sport bike ergos it would be easier to ride in the full tuck position to reduce wind resistance which would help range. But at least for me there is no way that riding position would be comfortable for very long. I would think reducing the sprocket size in the rear would help range but you are also going to reduce the fun factor at the same time. That might increase regen. It would be interesting to see a side by side test of the Ego and Eva to see how much difference riding position makes in range. Full tuck on the Ego compared to the upright position of the Eva.

It's already known in the Dutch Energica community that the Ego has the least power consumption, followed closely by the Eva. The EsseEsse9 consumes the most, mainly due to the upright riding position. Also the luggage is widest. Of course only noticeable when driving on open road and with self-discipline on the Ego ;)
