Title: Simple SR/F charging question, 3 vs 6kW

If you plug the standard (3kW) and premium (6kW) into a home 110V outlet using the provided connector, will the premium charge faster? The guy at Zero told me the premium would charge at 3 and the standard at 1.4 I think, but Iâ€™ve read a few threads here that seem to contradict this. Anyone know?

Post by: flattetyre on March 23, 2019, 12:26:02 PM: Most 120 outlets support 15 amps max, so the charger will be capped below that on 120. You would need 240v to charge at the higher rates. The voltages at the wall are close to those numbers nowadays.

I asked them if the charging wire fit in the storage area (it does) and what the difference would be between premium and standard on a 110V wall outlet. He said premium would charge twice as fast.

Not sure what to make of that...

Post by: Curt on March 24, 2019, 03:35:11 PM: My FX charges at 650W. I suppose it is conceivable that a Standard SR/F could be limited to the same when on 120V, and a Premium having two identical units could therefore charge at 1300W. Pure speculation on my part.

But one thing I'm sure of is that it's a communication issue.... no lying dealers and no misinformation from Zero.
