Title: EV performance claims
Post by: Richard230 on March 11, 2019, 07:40:49 PM
The electric motorcycle startup concept claims just keep on coming.  ::) Check out the ESSENCE EV:
https://electricmotorcycles.news/essence-motocycles-has-received-the-efficient-solution-label-from-the-solar-impulse-foundation/

Specifications:

    more than 200 HP power
more than 200 km/h max speed
    more than 200 km range
    more than 200 Nm torque
    less than 200 kg
    less than 3 s for 0-100 km/h
less than 1h for a full charge (fast charging)

I am not sure that I would want to be going more than 200 km/h on that thing and 200 HP and 200 Nm of torque?  Does that motor look like it would produce that much power and are is there enough space on the bike to house enough batteries for 200 km of range?  A lot of "200s" there.  Kind of makes me wonder.  ???

I do like this statement, though.  Apparently, if you bring enough money, they will build whatever you want. No mincing words here:    ;)

We offer a range of motorcycles dedicated to road legal use, starting price at 29.000€, with many options and customizations, until the ultimate level of bespoke made motorcycles by our design studio and custom workshop. More than a product, we offer an experience including peripheral products and premium services.

Thanks for posting this Richard.  I always admire your enthusiasm and ability to bring us interesting news. :-)

A few more years and hopefully we'll see an electric motorcycle for the masses.  Perhaps when the components get cheap enough with the right range, charging options etc.  I hope Zero can be one of the first to market.
