Title: Water projections from the front wheel Zero FXS /FX ? Do DS driver have this ?

When the road is wet, FX/FXS's highest fender position lets lots of water on your shoes / pants.
Anybody having an idea to solve this ? Since I never do off road, installing a Zero S front fender (fixed on the wheel for Zero S, on the wheel for FX/FXS) ?

A common problem with supermoto style bikes. A low fender (from an S, I think) has definitely been fitted by someone on this forum. I've seen photos and considered it myself.

Hmm, only thing that comes up is that S and DS are a little bit wider and block more water coming from front wheel.

I must admit I find that the bigger problem is that at a certain speed the front wheel throws a rooster tail of water out in front of you, it hits your chest, runs down and pools near your groin until it eventually seeps through.

S have low fenders. DS have high fenders, but not as high as FXS/FX

How does it work in practice ? No side problem ? Did you also put a windshield and change the headlights ?

$40.20 from AF1 racing. Straight bolt on, remove fender and fork protectors, same hardware even. No windshield and stock headlights. I did put PIAA H3 bulbs in it but still not that great at night. Just bought a new headlight bracket which I intend to modify for something else. Not sure what I’ll put on yet. Don’t ride in the wet often. I have gotten stuck in a downpour and it seemed fine but I was already wet so?

No, I don’t think they will fit inside the housing which is pretty small. Here’s a link to what I used.

That's the style. If you remove the four side bolts 5mm? the bracket with both lights will drop forward and you can change the bulbs from behind. Be careful not to touch the bulbs with bare hands or get any oil on them. This will cause them to burn out prematurely. Also those 4 bolts are used to aim lights so make sure to note their position or realign. There are also 2 running lights that plug in from the bottom. I forget which size but I put some really cheap LEDs in there and it didn't really seem to do much.

Thanks. In fact the running light are the problem - they are so low that the bike is not really visible. I'll try to find something with more lumens...
