Hello,
I'm looking to start a first ev project with an offroad bike. I'm trying to find a frame purpose built for an ev (battery compartment, light, etc) as I don't want to end up having panniers full of batteries and like a 20 mile range.
The ones I know of are the X, MX
Already have the electronics so looking for a roller.

Cheapest one I've seen for sale. Make an offer if you want.

Nah that one's damn expensive, mostly because it has a working battery I think. I've seen a couple go near me (with bad or no battery) for far far cheaper

Same here. If I could snag one of these relics for around $1000 with bad battery I would gladly do so. I already have a higher-spec replacement battery and want something to supplement my SR, but for lightweight dirt riding. I have seen 2 sell/disappear 2009-2010 recently in mint condition with bad/disassembled batteries on the east coast. Let me know if you find yours and happen across an extra!

I have a 2011 X I am thinking about parting out. It has a good battery and all, however I might be willing to sell you the frame you want and I can sell the battery separately. PM me if you are interested.

I have a 2009 that’s a perfect project. I’m in Hawaii though. I’m not afraid to take it apart enough to crate and send to you though. Call me 808-634-2003

Thanks all for the offers, since I had not been able to find one I ended up working with a crack TIG welder to weld a frame from scratch! It's looking like the bike will weigh about 150 pounds and have 22kw of electric power.
Thanks again and maybe see if talon is interested in those bikes?

That's pretty badass. Please post details!

I have a original MX 2010 with additional parts added from an X, and a newer battery (2011/12) that runs well.
The battery is plugged in on the charger 24/7 as recommended for those older type of Zero batteries and seems to be in great shape. Runs the speced range for a 1.5kW Zero battery. I think it's about 1 hr or 30min.
It's got a new front fairing with lights and turn signals, Brake lights.
Also have the Zero X Speedo gauge and added a Zero X kick stand(MX didn't come with one).
Fairly new MT21/D606 Tires used only on 2 desert trips.
Willing to part with it for $2350. Prefer pickup in SoCal.
I'll attach some photos soon.
