Title: Re: Diginow 2.5 Bellypan delivered in Europe !

I have 2 questions with pictures.
1\ how does the 3-led per charger function?
2\ the switch connected to the Earth-cable. Where is it for and should it be ON or OFF in normal charging at a 11kW public charger?
 8)

Answered allready on facebook:
1\ future use
2\ on/off chargers, for problems or Tesla public charger.

So maybe if any public charger got it's own charger controller or DC it needs to be OFF?

I replied to the question on the post here : https://www.facebook.com/groups/zmcowners/permalink/1954290271306838/ (https://www.facebook.com/groups/zmcowners/permalink/1954290271306838/)

Just to make sure it is logged here as well, the leds you were speaking of are actually just an expansion port for potential upgrades later, but just let it be, dont mess with it since you dont have to ;)

The switch, if you look closely is on and off, it turns the charge station on or off, it cvan be useful for some stations.

Also, the andersons should probably not have tape on them, but the other tape parts are ok, nice job btw!

And finally, Sweet plugs you got from English electric Motor Co. !!

Nice job man!

Thx a lot!
I'm very happy with it even while it's not yet installed  ;D

The leads are really high end.
Thick but very flexible for us to take them on the bike.

Yeah the whole thing was built with durability in mind as a key feature. People beat the crap out of their bikes.

Update:
My 2013MBB controller on the bike doesn't seem to communicate with the v2.5 correctly.
Brandon gonna test it again with their own 2013MBB and a solution will be provided.
Thx Brandon for the quick and helpfull support from start.

Finally parameters temperature, amps, volts are reading into Diginow.
It was not Diginow, but the 1 block of the OEM charger I still use to activate charging.
The parameters where only activated when both the OEM block + controller (CCU) are above 15°C on my old 2013 DS.
Next: get rid of those absolete OEM and CCU and make Diginow also control the starting of charging.
To be continued !

I’ve just completed the same quatrain - and did my first high-speed charge at an EV station in our village (yup, even we have one!). It all works!! Long-distance touring here I come again!

So, to get the message out:
I successfully installed a DigiNow v. 2.5 (37) 6.6 Kw belly-pan mounted supercharger on my 2017 DSR! For this, I would like to thank:
@Brandon Nozaki-Miller - for all the relentless, tireless, complicated engineering that went into the DigiNow 2.5. You’ve done us a great service mate! Arigatoo gozaimashita!
@Dr. Bass - for a belly pan that is a piece of aluminium artistry, beautifully made and solid as a rock!
@Alec Sharp (at English Electric Motorcycle Co.) - for great communication, sorting out all SORTS of problems before I had them, beautiful cables and outstanding support! I’m gonna come visit y’all as soon as I can and buy you (and your team) a pint or three!
@Dennis - for (unknowingly) giving me the tips and tricks and insights - and courage! - to enable me to do all the installation work
@New Zeroland - for amazing videos of removal, installation, testing, programming and general good times with the Zero and DigiNows! (But I’m seriously jealous of the weather y’all are having - it’s 1ºC and grey and wet here... want some?  :P

When I caught the e-bug and was captivated by my Z0e (go ahead, laugh, but every vehicle needs a name, and maybe it’s not original, but it’s mine!), I thought I’d have to give up tours longer than 2 hours or 150Km, but you’ve helped changed all that! Y’all have made a new era in electrical motorcycling possible for me! Thank you all!

Now, anyone have any idea how to turn the sun back on?

Great to read another DIY 2.5 was working out great!
My main help before getting it came online from Sam (NewZeroland), Brian (manual/Wiki), Stephane (Bellypan) , Morgan (Diginow) and Alec.
From Alec I ordered at English Electric Motor Co.

Brandon (Diginow) was and is great in supporting me with my old 2013 DS wich has older hardware onboard getting it to run, having now a temporary solution wich works already like any other.
Brandon will call if things goes 'wrong' or is even prepared to go 'on-site' like he almost did with Sam and Tim in NZ.
Thx all !!

Thanks again to you, too, Dennis!

Yeah, well that’s NewZealand, not Netherlands or Germany, so maybe his motivation would be just a wee bit less. Particularly at this time of year!  :P

Did a full high-speed charge test at a 22kW station yesterday - 50% to 100% in about 48 minutes. Ok, it was just 3º, so maybe in summer that will go a bit faster.

Don't be so sure. I've got Dutch relatives and we both crave the EU charging infrastructure.

edit- and beer. Crave beer.

I think beer qualifies as (organic) recharging infrastructure.
