I had posted this on the Facebook page earlier this week. What I'd LIKE to see is a comparison between this saddle and the Corbin.
I'm perfectly fine with the stock seat. By the time it's getting uncomfortable, it's time to stop and put the bike on the charger anyway. It's not like my K1200LT where I could be in the saddle for up to six hours before needing to stop for gas...
Somebody on Facebook said this is the saddle they install by default on the DS "Black Forest Edition" (which is only sold in Europe).

I'm guessing just a dual layer of foam is not going to cut it. No gel pads?? No larger footprint, for $350? I had a custom seat done at a local seat shop for $550. Double gel pads, not just a little extra layer of foam, but different density foams to add support and make the postage stamp footprint bigger, not to mention a premium cover and stitching. There are so many custom seat shops that do these conversions, not just Corbin. My seat was designed, dry run fabricated, then me and the wife tested it out and went back to the shop to give feedback for additional mods where needed. Best $550 I ever spent.

Dukecola I'd like to see some pictures and measurements if you wouldn't mind.
For me the top of my inner thigh hip area feels sore and a tad numb after 80 miles or so. I'm taking standup riding brakes after 60 miles.
I'll say the wider "butt" section fits me pretty well and the cover has held up nicely even if it isn't a high end look.

Electric technology is a long way from creating a motorcycle that matches my definition of a "Touring Motorcycle." At least, one that is affordable to anyone other than Jeff Bezos or Larry Ellison.
I can do six or seven hundred miles a day at highway speeds on my K1200LT. Match that in electric technology and keep it around $30,000US and I'll be interested otherwise no sale.

I sat on it on a demo of the schwarzwalder edition, it is definitely a major upgrade. It's hard to judge with the few minutes that I sat on it but I can see myself doing several hours with less saddle sore on it.

Damn... I didn't realize the Corbin is almost $500US. On the other hand, you can customize the colors however you like for no additional charge. I think the smooth vinyl panels would look good in either ghost gray or silver CF to match my 2018 S. On the other hand, I'm thinking my next MAJOR expense on this bike will be the Hollywood Electrics sport touring fairing...

The Corbin costs more because Corbin actually tries to make a profit, as amortized against their R&D costs. The OEM can develop and market a seat more quickly, and mainly wants to increase bike sales.
I wish the touring seat were more impressive, but it looks acceptable. I have almost 30,000 miles on my Corbin seat, and it seems like the touring seat would be a step down aside from restoring the amount of space allocated to the passenger.
And I very much wish the seat weren’t still bolted onto the bike in a way that luggage accessories relied on. A keyed latch release like the majority of motorcycle models would avoid some potentially serious roadside hassles servicing the fuses under the seat.

I would say no. I have a bony butt that is sensitive to hard seats. I find that I can handle sitting on the stock seat for about an hour and then I cry for mercy. However, investing in an Air Hawk seat pad ($120+/-) increased my comfort so much that I can now ride my Zero for up to 6 hours without needing a butt massage. A much better value than buying a new seat, in my opinion. ;)
