Title: Feher ACH-1 air conditioned helmet
Post by: Richard230 on August 23, 2018, 09:37:53 PM
Here is the latest in air conditioned helmets.  In spite of what it says in the title, this is not the first AC helmet. There was one on the market some years ago that used a solid-state cooling system, however I don't think it worked very well. No doubt this one will work better - if you don't mind plugging it into your motorcycle's power port each time you get on your bike. And don't forget to unplug it before getting off. Not too bad of a price, though. Now all they have to do is to install a camera/Blue-tube device in the chin section to balance out the helmet weight.

You could probably rig a pack to clip to your jacket or spine protector.

Some 18650s, probably.

When I have to ride in 100 degree weather with 90% humidity and no wind I actually use a cooling vest made by veskimo

The "cooler" part of it sits on the passenger seat and attaches to the vest under it ... it works very well for 30 minutes then after that you don't know if it is "on" till you turn it off and realize the temperature rising :D

Ah the things we do to ride in extremes :/

Hah, the picture looks like you have an alien critter or a big tick stuck to the back of your head.
