Title: UK Insurance
Post by: Andrew Zero S on June 27, 2018, 02:52:50 AM
This is also in my new member post, sorry about the duplication.

I am receiving my new Zero in 3 days and I can't get a quote.

The problems I have are:

1) The 2017 1nd 2018 Zero S models are rated at insurance class 0 meaning the underwriters don't have enough information about the model's risk profile.

2) I have 7 points on my licence.

Give them a call and see if they can insure your bike like it was a 600cc model.

I ended up going with Wicked Quotes. Mackenzie Hodgson Insurance assure me they will cover electric bikes and I plan to try them out next time I renew.

Thanks for the replies.

I got 3rd party only for £573.

Lexham is meant to be the cheapest but they don't quote for more than 6 points.

My only other quote was £2000.
