Hello folks,
I’m looking to switch to an electric motorbike this year (Zero SR most likely) so I’m doing a bit of research.
After my decently lengthy test ride in various conditions, which I thoroughly enjoyed btw, I’ve noticed a few things that I’d like to try to improve or tweak to suit my personal preference a bit better.
Has anyone had any thoughts or experience with ‘modding’ their Zeros? I’m looking at things like dual break rotor setup, wider wheels, motor/controller/charger upgrades, cosmetics etc.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Broadly speaking, items on a Zero do not have fitments that match other parts in the wider motorcycle aftermarket industry (brake levers, brake discs, etc), so understand that this won't be as easy as it is for more widely-manufactured bikes.
The powertrain can be customized but you'll need the right software kit and cabling to configure and program effectively. If you have access to a knowledgeable dealer like Hollywood Electrics or AF1 Racing in Austin, it'll be easier, but for most of us it's trickier and that's why there's the manual.
The total number of Zeros is just not large enough yet for a lot of vendor support to pay off for them; we're only just now hoping that a readily-mountable fairing in development will be available for sale.
