Here is an addition I made to my FXS.
I am not a big user of turn signals; I use them when I feel it is necessary, but otherwise I skip it. I especially do not like forgetting to turn the signal off after my rare use. Many years ago, a classmate with a then-new Honda CB 500-Four gave me a lift and I osberved the bike had a turn signal beeper—what a great idea! Since, I have installed or repaired turn signal beepers on my bikes.

Why in the world would anyone *not always* use turn signals, whether on a moto, in a car, or astride a bicycle? This is a safety issue: just doe it, until it becomes second nature. One time in 10,000 it will prevent an accident. That makes it worth it -- not just to you, but to those around you.
OTOH, I only use my rear view mirrors, or do head checks, when I feel it's necessary ;)
I agree, turn signal beepers are a great idea.

In my car, or on my bike, I ALWAYS use turn signals, because my life depends on other people knowing what I'm about to do. No second guessing, no mind reading, no question. High on my list of accessories to install when I got my Zero. Audible turn signals. Because it can be just as dangerous leaving your turn signal on. Communicating your intensions to other drivers is necessary, and turn signals are the best tool we have for this purpose.

I don't know about your horn, but I keep accidentally hitting mine and it's plenty loud. Not really brash, tho, but plenty loud!

On my two 2017 Zeros, I could yell "beep beep" louder than the horn. I changed the horns on every bike I have owned except my Harley, but the Zero horns were the worse of them all. I can barely hear Zero's horn over the Zero's engine noise. ;)
Harley does some things the right way. The horns are one such example. But they also do a few small things the wrong way, such as cheap rubber tire stems on a 45K$ motorcycle.

I'm surprised there isn't a simple product in this niche...

I'm surprised there isn't a simple product in this niche...
Turn signal beepers (more commonly, loud "clickers" -- far louder than the relay itself clicking on/off) are near universal on scooters. However, they're virtually non-existent on motorcycles, and I think this is because it's virtually impossible to hear them at non-urban speeds. Raising the volume to fix this would require horn-level noise, which would be pretty aggravating for both rider & surrounding traffic when there's no emergency situation.
Personally, I think a properly visible blinking indicator on the instrument cluster should be enough -- riders should be trained to scanthe cluster a couple of times per minute.

During the mid-1970's turn signal beepers were mandated for motorcycles by the U.S. government. My 1977 Honda CB550K had them. Needless to say they were hated by all motorcycle owners at the time and were immediately removed or deactivated (snip, snip) after purchase. It wasn't long after that that the requirement for the beepers disappeared - as did the beepers, at least on motorcycles. I wasn't aware that they were still around on scooters. It must be something that is being required by some other country's government regulators. :o

Reminds me of the seat-belt alert on our 73 Nova. It would go off if you hit a bump. So... it lived in the glove box as a spare part.

Can anyone suggest a component that makes a loud clicking noise like a relay? I put simple beepers in using wire taps, but the unintended consequence is that sometimes pedestrians think I am signaling them (for example someone at a crosswalk or in a parking garage seems to think I'm trying to tell them to get out of my way). It's great that they notice me, but not that they think I'm some entitled jerk. This makes me sometimes avoid using my turn signals, which is the opposite of the desired outcome. For this reason, a loud click would be more effective at helping me remember to cancel the turn signal.

I eventually intend to install a LED fiber optic rod mounted on the wind screen or with the rod end pointed at my face.
I’m thinking that with diodes (for isolation) I can connect it to both signal sides.
