Title: To the tune of "If I only had a brain"

It's been a DRAFT for weeks.

I can't get it out of my head - now you won't either.

I could have done better - but work projects call.

I could wile away the miles
Smackin' bugs upon my smiles
Rear impacts are such a pain   
Appointments I'd be keepin'
Between the mirrors I'd be weavin'
If I only could split lanes.

I'd unravel any gridlock                 
Zooming to the next block
And not be late again

All those cars you'd be passing
Another light you'd be beating
If you only could split lanes

Oh, I can't tell you why
These road were built so wide.
I split between lanes that have not been split  before
And then I'd brake and split some more.

Exhaust leaves me a coughin'
When traffic is a crawlin'
My bike stuck in one lane                             
So much later I could be sleeping
All those greeters I'd be greeting
If I only could split lanes
