Title: Electric Indian
Post by: JaimeC on March 02, 2017, 03:01:27 AM
It looks like Polaris is working on an Electric Indian.  Unfortunately, it looks like they're more interested in building a "toy" than a practical urban commuter from what this article implies:

"four or five years away from production" is probably accurate, too...

I'm thinking if they're REALLY serious about that range and speed prediction, then aerodynamics are going to play a BIG role.  Since Indian is known primarily for heavy cruisers, making their electric bike share the same "Family DNA" seems to be chasing opposing goals.

An Aerodynamic Cruiser??  I think we also know now why the Livewire is taking so long to come to market.

I am thinking that heavy cruisers can carry heavy batteries.   ;)

Here is another article about the e-Indian.  But you won't learn anything new.   ;)
