Title: Another battery with amazing claims
Post by: Richard230 on November 19, 2016, 05:03:43 AM
I am not holding my breath to see this battery in mass production and used in an electric vehicle.   ::)  What do you think? The claim is for a one-minute charge and 10K cycles.  I note that there is no mention regarding the power capacity of the battery.   ???  http://www.androidauthority.com/urabat-battery-one-minute-charge-10000-cycles-729714/ (http://www.androidauthority.com/urabat-battery-one-minute-charge-10000-cycles-729714/)

I see I was beaten to the punch.  This item just showed up in my favorite "News for Nerds" site:

Paper quotes around 1/10th the power density of LiPo apparently.
Hardly a surprise as the "battery" is in fact a miniaturised super capacitor.

That is not likely going to make the Samsung Note 8S cell phone any thinner.  ::)
