Title: Victory 2017
Post by: shayan on November 17, 2016, 05:55:19 AM
Seems like the Victory 2017 models (including the Empulse) are going to be shown in the Long Beach CA IMS tour:

Not sure what we can expect to be shown here, but all 2017 models with accessories are going to be on display. 2 more days to find out!
I'm not expecting anything significant here on the Empulse, but glad that Empulse is being continued with all the problems Polaris is facing :)

I do hope Victory will atleast have some new accessories for the Empulse!

I am hoping for something significant on the 2017 Empulse. It has been a year and a half or so since Victory bought out Brammo. I didn't expect any more than minor changes last year but Victory has had a lot more time to make changes. If Victory is trying to sell the same old tired Empulse for 2017 that has been offered for the past several years there isn't much hope of there ever being anything better. Victory has the opportunity to be serious competition for Zero.  If there aren't major changes for 2017 then it is obvious they aren't serious about being in the electric motorcycle business. Yes they can say they beat one of their major competitors (H-D) to the market with an electric motorcycle but that is about it.

Well here is one.  Correct me if I'm wrong but it's the same bike right?

I did see this one. It has the same specs looks like so nothing different to the 2016 model. Also the official Victory Motorcycles has nothing about a 2017 model. So i'm not sure what this is.

I have a very reliable source at Polaris and there will be no 2017's or any more Electrics bikes from Victory!

I think the Empulse will sell on its own merits and the fact that Polaris is substantial - There is no way the Empulse is going up head to head with the 2017 Zero - it has a new breed of motor 770 amp controller and almost twice the power and torque and considerable more range up to 150-200 miles. The 0-60 speed is now under 3 seconds - the Zero is taking out crotch Rockets now

Well it made it to a show so they haven't given up yet.  Very limited sound bite and no real specs, pretty much the same bike as 2016.

Go to the 5:07 mark to just see the 2017 TT or watch the whole thing and not have to pay a door fee to see bikes at a show.

! No longer available (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpNmuhvGH7w#)

Does the model actually name it as 2017?

Web site still doesn't say 2017, just the 2016. Same stats also. Are they abandoning it? I was hoping for an awesome 2017 model to trade my Zero SR in for.
