New 32Ah cells. I think the current bikes use 29Ah cells? That would be about a 10% increase in capacity. The article also mentions a 4C discharge rate with 10C burst capability. I don't know how that compares to the current cells.

32 Ah * 4 bricks * 116 Volts = 14.8 kWh => ZF14.8 without powertank.
If they use the same cells for the powertank that would be 32 * 5 * 116 = 18.5 kWh
32 Ah at 10C burst would be 1280 Amps for a 4 Brick bike. DUAL 660 Amps controllers please :)
(Dual 440 Amps controllers would also be nice)
The Farasis cells used in the 2014 SR (IMP06160230P25A) have a 25Ah capacity and a 7C burst discharge rating (4C continuous) So 10C burst discharge is a big improvement
2015 had 27 Ah cells and 2016 29 Ah cells, no idea about the continious or burst rate discharges

clearly this makes everyone's current packs obsolete, so if you would kindly remove and pass them forward, I will just collect them all right here. :p
lol seriously though, its always nice watching these things progress forward. Every year they get better.

Once these new cells hit Zeros, I may have to empty my motorcycle capital improvement account again. :)

dont forget that the Sevcon gen 4 controller haven't changed for years now.. i would not be surprized if they would release a new higher power version of better power density.... ;).. ex 800 900A insteaf of 660... without the need to go to size 8 witch is not very convinient to install on the Zero...
but.. what would you do with 25% more torque 8)

25% more torque would definitely call for the installation of traction control. ;)

I would actually lean forward when I pin the throttle.

I would actually lean forward when I pin the throttle.
Resulting in a rear tire burnout. ;)

lol.. naa. 25% more makes it solidly halfway to accelerating like a sportbike.

At the rate they're improving it won't be long before we see EV bikes surpass the gas-powered sport bike specs. :)
