Title: Is the Motion Pro Belt Tension Gauge Compatible with FXS?
Post by: MajorMajor on September 09, 2016, 12:30:00 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm limited in my choices for belt tension gauges.
Will this one work on my FXS?
Any thoughts on it?

Don't do it; it's for belts with much lower tension, so won't be accurate (I tried).

Just get the recommended Krikit gauge (http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_4&products_id=191) - it's cheap and measures the belt the way Zero intends it to.

If you read my post on Belt Tension (Reply #26) you can see pictures of the gauge that I used to adjust the belt on my 2015 S. I think that it is an accurate gauge but it is expensive.
