Hopefully, the fire was not the result of any design, equipment, or assembly problem. It certainly could have been caused by a lot of other things, including poor maintenance and environmental factors. Still it is nice to hear that most of the 2012 Zero S police bikes are still chugging along in Hong Kong under what is likely somewhat challenging conditions:

That is very strange in fact!
The 2012 BMS are very good and the EIG cells quality is awsome.. the battery design is also really nice...
I have worked and disssassembled many of these and modified too... i can confirm my arguments.
so it was while charging... hmmm..
