Here is a cool blog by a guy who built an electric ZX11.  Capable of 43 mph..

One of the better looking conversions ive seen, and 43mph is ample for commuting, i wonder what the range is at 30mph

Todd did a great job, very nice looking bike. He's been helping me with an LCD dash display.
