Has one of you a instructions how to calibrate the encoder ??
I mean the adjustment-between encoder and motor rotor to I can adjust with the DVT software between +128 and -180 °
I once read somewhere that there is an automatic meter calibration.
A manual calibration would me also to

We've got a thread (http://electricmotorcycleforum.com/boards/index.php?topic=4879.30) going in the 2013+ category about scheduled maintenance. The 2016 models have a requirement for "Drive Motor commissioning and timing" every 8,000 miles or 12 months.
Is that just setting the offset as described in Burton's video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxA3493vs-I) with the DVT software?
If so, the DVT software is painfully pricey at $900 (http://www.electricmotorsport.com/ev-parts/controllers/calibrators-programmers/sevcon-gen4-36-48-275.html) but, you can buy a hand held calibrator from thunderstruck-ev.com (http://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/sevcon-gen4-hand-held-calibrator.html) for $450 or rent it for $50/week. That brings this a little more in the range of a do-it-yourselfer. The manual (http://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/Manuals/Calibrator%20user%20manual%20v2.pdf) is not particularly helpful to me in terms of understanding the process but, I'd very much like to be able to do this at home.
The controller manual mentions a password (https://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/images/Gen4%20Product%20Manual%20V3%204.pdf#page=72) in the DVT/Calibration section too. Where do you get that?
