I found it rather compelling. Some relatives of mine are considering buying an EV, and have asked me for advise.  But when I start to discuss the details, they're very resistant.  They start talking about trunk space, interior quality and the BMW i3's gas range as if they're nonstarters.  A lot of people say they're serious about reducing their carbon footprint, but when it comes time to trade in their car or bike and put they're money where there mouth is, they make a list of excuses just like this guy.

My girlfriend displayed this resistance, discussing the Tesla Model 3 (despite some ribbing from me, it looks like a great car), and she's very eco-supportive: she certainly likes my Zero DS. Sticker price seems to get lodged in the brain before any accounting for maintenance costs.
