I thought I might need this when I got the bike in July 2013 but in the end I've used it about 5 times! so I think it's time to find it a home where it will be used and loved :-)

Do you carry it around with the bike? If so, how?
EDIT: Dumb follow-up questions, sorry. This wasn't completely clear from Zero's site: when using this, do you still plug into a single 110V wall plug, or do you have one cord going to the onboard charger and one to the quick charger? Have you ever used this in conjunction with a J1772 adapter?

You would want two separate 110V plugs. They could theoretically operate off of a single 20A circuit, but it'd be a little iffy I think.
You could use this with a J1772 adapter. Zero's adapter has a C13 coupler on one end. You could build a splitter to give you two C13 couplers for the quick charger and the onboard charger.

I was going to do that originally - even got the J1772 adapter but never built the cable.. if someone wants that with the charger then make an offer!

I have an external Zero Charger that I use now and then on my FX 5.7. The FX has a lower rate charger than the S / DS / SR, and, have been able to successfully use both chargers on one socket at my home.
If using the J1772 adapter from Zero, I believe there are 3 separate C13 ends. You don't need to make a C13 splitter, they can be purchased fairly inexpensively. Just make sure that you get a heavy enough gauge.
I throw the Charger into an old backpack I used to use for a 17" laptop. Fits well enough with room for cable and a few extras. It isn't light, but, becomes noticeable after a while.

Yup, I permanently mounted and wired in the quick charger on my 2013 FX such that it always charges with both chargers. I've had no trouble on 20A circuits, and haven't run into a blown circuit breaker anywhere yet. :-)
The J1772 adapter from Zero has just a single C13 connector, but because the connector on my bike is wired to both chargers, it suits me just fine...
