Now here is an innovative excuse for Mission Motorcycles' failure. A former employee says it is all Apple's fault because they "poached" a couple of their engineers at a critical time during the company's collapse. Just between you and me, if I was a sharp EV engineer, I would rather work for Apple than Mission (considering their previous business and product development history and ongoing meltdown) and wouldn't be ashamed to accept a job offer from Apple. Is that "poaching"? I sure don't think so. ??? You can read the article here:

I saw that too and I'm very skeptical. I'd imagine the handwriting was on the wall at Mission, one or two of their engineers deserted the sinking ship, wound up at Apple and recruited their friends to come along. I think Mission's got only themselves to blame for their collapse.

Case of sour grapes and "it's not my fault" from Mission. And were these engineers electric motorcycle engineers, or just electric drive ones?
Can you imagine if they were specialized in motorcycles.... it would mean Apple might be coming out with one. The AppleBike....

Ted has some interesting comments regarding this item: http://insideevs.com/mission-motors-plot-thickens-et-tu-apple/ (http://insideevs.com/mission-motors-plot-thickens-et-tu-apple/)

I am no expert here but it is pretty simple to say that for any business if you don't have sales you will fail. It is a matter of time and how much money you want to burn until sales arrive.
Mission lacked sales.
Everyone loves those super fast e bikes but they are also so expensive that very few can actually afford to buy one. There is a very small market for $40K motorcycles of any kind.
