Hi people,
I was wondering if anybody had any Agni motors that are dead, for whatever reason, that are just lying around that they want to get rid of. If so, I would like one, to continue my experiments. I am happy to pay for postage and a token amount for a dead motor, depending on how dead it is...
Cheers,

Hi Cortezdtv,
I have PM'd you about it. I would still be interested, as I knew shipping was going to cost heaps to Australia. There is absolutely no hurry to get it here though, so that should make it a bit cheaper, or my brother in law, is coming over in March, perhaps he could bring it with him... Carry on... lol

Here is what I am experimenting with. I have made copper brush carrier tubes for the Agni and Perm PMG 132 brushes. This shouldn't melt down and can carry the current to the tips of the brushes, negating the need for them to be matched all the time and stopping the pigtails from melting as I have seen them do when it all goes wrong and certainly stopping the springs from taking any load at all. They still need some tweaking, but the basic form is there now. Copper should act as an excellent heat sink to take the heat away from the arc. With the very low resistance in the Agni windings, it doesn't take much to go wrong to dump the load at the carrier instead of into the motor.
