From Prada To Nada, you name it, they fake it. The latest victim apparently, is the Honda Goldwing!

You won’t be blamed for believing this is a Honda Goldwing, even upon blinking and pondering over it several times.
These leaked images for filing design patent, yeah right, reveal that a Chinese motorcycle maker is determined to put a Honda Goldwing doppelganger into production, but by making it absolutely eco friendly than the gas guzzling Japanese cruiser. By housing battery packs and an electric motor within the central plastic enclosure that looks like engine casing in the pictures.
Behold, the upcoming electric cruiser from the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, Jiangsu Xinri. This model already gets a virtual award, for being the most blatant copy-paste operation of Chinese automobile Industry. Probably second to Landwind X7, the crossover that is known otherwise as poor man’s / Chinese man’s Range Rover Evoque.
Honda Goldwing Copycat Jiangsu Xinri electric bike
The real Honda Goldwing houses a mammoth of a 1.8 litre flat-six engine. The Chinese one doesn’t have a combustion engine in the first place.
Setup in 1999, Jiangsu Xinri is a large scale civilian-run electric vehicle company, that specialises in the R&D, production and distribution of electric vehicles, including bikes, scooters and karts. Apparently, their R&D capabilities doesn’t extend to exterior designing.
The company owns three major production facilities, one in Wuxi, Tianjin and XiangYang; as well as six key enterprises in China. The company also produces and supplies vehicle components. A total of 5,000 employees and net assets worth $153.525 million, combine to host an annual production capacity of 2 million electric vehicles of different types. Apart from local distribution, the company also exports electric vehicles to markets in Europe, North America, Africa and other countries in Asia. It is unclear at this point, whether the Goldwing rip off will be exported to some of these export markets or not.

I hesitate to link to any pages I found via Googling, but it seems like they've produced some kind of car and a bunch of e-bikes and electric scooters. It's not clear that this will turn into anything beyond a photoshop mockup yet.
And that's leaving aside speculation about the Chinese economy/market being able to support this... And the fact that some of their operations are in Tianjin (of recent hazmat explosion news)!

I wonder how big that G-Wing clone is? Perhaps it is designed and sized for the kiddie sidewalk-riding market. ::)

Probably around the same size.
Jiangsu Xinri is a big player on the domestic ev-market.

You gotta admit there's room for a MASSIVE amount of battery under a 'wing fairing. Holy cow. It'd probably end up weighing 3/4 ton though... just like a regular Goldwing. [zing!]
