Title: Riding a 2012 Zero S to Patagonia.

I've mentioned this before on this forum: It's like the old Stanley Steamer days. The drivers got to know a lot of people along the way because those cars didn't condense and recycle the steam water, so the driver would carry a bucket. When the car got low on water, a frequent occurrence, the driver would pull up to a house and ask to get water for the boiler.

Here we are again, with our electric "Steamers".

BTW - In California right now it would probably be easier to get electricity than water. :D

My wife's friends just finished a 19,903 mile bicycle ride from the USA to Argentina. They blogged about their journey here (http://www.wanderwheels.com/home/). Took them 710 days.

A moderator on the BMW forum that I frequent, who lives in the Netherlands, told us that his sister was killed last week by pirates that boarded their sailboat off the coast of that country. The Colombia police then threw his brother-in-law, who was also on the sailboat, into jail. He has now been released, but they won't let him leave the country. He has had to hire a local attorney and another one from the Netherlands familiar with Colombian laws to try to get him out of their legal system and back home. The last I heard there had been no resolution to his problem. :(
